Ann and Norman Kendrick from Joseph’s Goal were regular faces at both our Wigan and Leigh business networking groups before the pandemic hit. These meetings gave them a platform to raise awareness of NKH (Non-Ketotic Hyperglycinemia) an ‘extremely rare, life-limiting genetic disorder that severely affects development’, which is a condition their grandson Joe was born with. 

Joseph’s Goal and its supporters are tirelessly working to raise more money to fund research and is currently the largest fundraiser in the world for NKH. 

During 2019 Joseph’s Goal were our official charity for both our Leigh and Wigan Business Expo’s. We were also pleased to support them, along with some of our networking colleagues, at their annual ball in June, as well as helping by being asked to design the event programme. 

Before Covid-19 we supported Joe’s Jumper day by donating our time to design their most recent flyer and asking our Christmas networking group to wear their best Christmas jumpers and donate to the charity. Our network also donated lots of raffle prizes and raised over £80 during our 2019 meeting, beating our total from 2018. We look forward to getting back out into the world and supporting them once again.
